MISSION
Formed by alumni in 2008 under the CSULB Foundation, the Beach Crew Alumni Association (“BCA”) evolved into an independent California nonprofit in 2016 and is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. In cooperation with California State University, Long Beach, and the rowing program, BCA raises and allocates funds to support the sport of competitive crew through an active network of alumni, friends of the program, and community supporters.

BOARD
MEET THE
The BCA Board is a core group of men and women representing varying generations and perspectives. The Board assists the coaches and the University in raising money, guides endowment funds so each gift creates the greatest opportunity for the team, and plays a principal role in planning for the future of the program. The Executive Committee works year-round to support the team and coordinate alumni, friends, and parents. Interested in serving? Board elections are held each November at the BCA Annual Meeting (see Alumni Events) — or reach out through Contact Us to join a committee as a non-board member; BCA President Tom O’Toole would love to hear from you.
