Beach Crew BBQ

This weekend Beach Crew hosted a recruiting event at the boathouse. The Beach Crew’s Instagram page shared flyers and ran ads to attract new recruits to the event. The crew set up tables and chairs on the wash deck and provided free tacos to guests. The potential recruits received a tour of the boathouse and were shown a four and eight rowboat. Coach Scott, Coach Mike, and most of the crew were there to welcome everyone into the boathouse. Many of the recruits seemed interested in the club.

Once everyone was fed, Coach Scott and Coach Mike gathered everyone into the boathouse to explain the club’s values and answer any questions. Kenneth Glenn, President of the Beach Crew Alumni Association, BBQ, and other alumni were also present to make statements and answer any questions. Scott disclosed to the recruits that many members make lifetime friendships during their time in crew. Overall, it was a successful recruiting event. Varsity training will start on August 29th and Novice practice begins on September 12th.
