The Beach Crew Alumni Association would like to invite all former rowers and coaches of California State University, Long Beach Crew to join the Beach Crew Alumni Association (BCA). Our goal is to capture contact information, including e-mails, on everyone that has participated in the program over the last 50 years. We encourage you to update your information through the website as your contact changes. To assist in these efforts, we created the B-Newsline, the team’s newsletter, that you can subscribe to and keep up with the latest happenings.
The mission of the Beach Crew Alumni Association is to enhance the rowing program at California State University, Long Beach, provide scholarship opportunities to student athletes, and maintain the relationship with alumni to extend the involvement of the program. Please encourage your fellow teammates get on beachcrew.org and submit their current information into the database.
As Long Beach State goes through painful budget cuts and tuition hikes, it is more important than ever for former rowers to help minimize the impact of these cuts and maximize the involvement of CSULB students in this high quality crew program. In the short time the BCA has been in existence we have been able to raise enough funds for the purchase of new engines for the coaching launches, but more needs to be done, and your membership will help us to accomplish our goals. You gain the added benefit of being able to reconnect with old crew friends. As a member, the BCA will keep you informed of all upcoming events and provide you opportunities to get involved with Beach Crew.
There are many ways you can contribute. Yearly membership is $25. We are a non-‐profit organization, and all donations are tax deductible though the Beach Crew Alumni Association, Inc., a private 501.c3 non-profit organization. We invite you to be a vital part of the tradition. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Contact Ken Glenn (’71) to find out how you can help us.
