Beach Claims Two Titles at Josh Gruenberg Cup

Long Beach State men claimed two first place titles at San Diego State’s Gruenberg Cup in the Second Novice 8+ and Varsity 4+ events. The Second Novice 8+ finished with a time of 6:12.20, followed by San Diego State, 6:30.19, and University of Southern California (USC), 6:40.27. The Varsity 4+ finished with a time of 5:59.76 with San Diego State tailing them at 6:00 flat.

The Varsity 8+ fell to San Diego State at 5:17.31 but tied for a second finish with USC at 5:30.10. Long Beach State is likely to spin-off it’s lightweight rowers through the spring. They competed at their first event claiming a second finish of 6:06.19 in between San Diego State’s two crews.
