Throughout the month of July, Beach Crew athletes have been hard at work showcasing the experience of rowing. Each summer CSULB hosts the Overnight S.O.A.R. Experience (Student Orientation and Registration) where freshmen have the opportunity to witness what student organizations and athletic teams have to offer.
The team’s hard work has paid off as their prospective list of rowers is well over 100 and it’s not even Week-of-Welcome yet. The team has three more events to showcase at before the season starts: the Parkside Move-in Festival, ASI’s Week-of-Welcome Sports Fair, and Smorgasport. Smorgasport features free food, games, and entertainment by student organizations.
The team is planning to host a 4-lane racing venue simulated on a projection screen running the RowPro Digital Simulator. Definitely stay tuned for these details.
