BCA Elects Board of Directors

Saturday, September 12, during their annual meeting which concurs with
the team's Week-of-Welcome event, the Beach Crew Alumni Association
(BCA) elected their first official Board of Directors. The organization
will consist of a president and eight other members at large who will
serve for the entire racing season. Half of the members at large will
serve a two-year term. The board will meet quarterly (4) to plan social
events for the alumni and assist with the team's fundraising efforts.

We would like to thank members of BCA's advisory committee and the
CSULB Foundation for their efforts this past year in setting the
foundation of this very important group.
The mission of the Beach Crew Alumni Association is to enhance the
rowing program at California State University, Long Beach, provide
scholarship opportunities to student athletes, and maintain the
relationship with alumni to extend the involvement of the program.
The Beach Crew Alumni Association is open to all rowers, men and women,
who have rowed with the university through at least one season
regardless of the level of competition. The annual membership fee is
$25 or a greater amount that is desired. |
